These weird aliens keep coming out of nowhere and the lightning every few minutes is not helping. Once we finally find others that have bunkered down, we have a moment to breath. Once we ask for our Dad, it seems to be all over. No one knows where he is. Then more of those aliens arrive in a ship and start attacking us. We finally find that our Dad is still alive, thank goodness. We are off to find him and hopefully get the heck off this rock.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is a action role-playing video game developed by BioWare and is published by Electronic Arts for Playstation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The game released in North America on March 21, 2017 and in Europe on March 23, 2017. It is the fourth installment in the Mass Effect series and the first entry since Mass Effect 3 in 2012. The game begins in the Milky Way Galaxy during the 22nd century, when humanity was planning to populate new home worlds in the Andromeda Galaxy that was named Andromeda Initiative. The player assumes the role of either Scott or Sara Ryder, as an inexperienced military recruit who joins the initiative and wakes up in the Andromeda Galaxy after a 600-year journey.

Both Ryders’ appearance and first names can be determined by the player. The appearance of the father, Alec Ryder, is automatically adjusted based on how the Ryder twins look. Once the player beats the game, a New Game+ is unlocked, which allows a switch to using the other Ryder, if interested, and to gain certain bonuses. Players can also choose to continue playing with their existing character and complete unfinished missions.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will have a lighter tone than the previous entries in the series. It has open world elements and places an emphasis on exploration. Many of the Series’ Traditional gameplay elements will remain, while others have been modified. One such change is the combat is more mobile and less cover-based.
